What is Cellulite?

Cellulite is a term used to describe deposits of fat and other materials trapped in pockets of connecting tissue beneath the skin. Why The DERMOSONIC Method For Treating Cellulite?

1. ULTRASOUND

Ultrasound (U.S.) has been used in medicine and physiotherapy for over forty years. It was brought into the beauty treatment field over five years ago, constituting one of the biggest breakthroughs in the treatment of cellulites and fibrous processes. Ultrasound consists in the production of a mechanical vibration with the same characteristics as sound vibration, but at a much higher frequencies.

Ultrasound has three main effects: mechanical, thermal, and chemical.

Mechanical effects: Ultrasound produces a series of pressures and decompressions that perform a sort of micro massage and impart an oscillatory motion to intra- and extra cellular particles. Also another phenomenon that occurs at high power is cavitations. These consist in the formation of hollow cavities in liquids and tissue when they are subjected to an intense tractate pull. Contraindications: Ultrasound should not be applied to specialized tissues as eyes, ears, ovaries or testicles.

The treatment should not be used on the abdomen during pregnancy;

If the patient has a blood circulation disorder the risks are the same as with any other heat treatment. If the ultrasound therapy is used in such cases, the pulsed mode should be employed and the intensity kept low.

Do not apply to neoplasias or areas where is an active infection.
